Race to the South Pole

Can you imagine one of the greatest races in history happened in Antarctica, the most remote continent on earth? Yes, two men racing across this forbidding ice and snow. It was a race to the death. Only one would return alive.

It would be a contest between the English naval officer Captain Robert Scott and the Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen. While one man would plant a flag at the bottom of the earth, the other would die trying. There are some fascinating facts behind the heroic winner and the tragic loser. You’re about to discover just what made the difference.
