The man was dead, not alive! “These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: ‘I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.’” – Revelation 3:1 NKJV

That’s what they used to be. “And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.” – 1 Corinthians 6:11

Don’t make it hard for yourself. “But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.” – Romans 13:14

The closer we get… “We know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. And every man that hath this hope in Him purifies himself, even as He is pure.” – 1 John 3:2-3
