Torn Apart

The dividing or Partition of India and the establishment of this border was one of the most defining events in the subcontinent’s history. It created the largest migration in human history. Families and communities were torn apart. Estimates suggest that up to 18 million people lost their homes and were forced to flee. And up to 2 million people lost their lives. The violence and killing was horrific. India was in flames. And yet, out of the ashes, out of all this hatred and violence comes a beautiful story of love and hope. A story of romance amidst the turmoil of the partition. It’s true, love conquers all. This inspiring story will bring you hope and courage.
