Every Word – Sin Can Discourage You

Dishonesty can be hard work. “The truthful lip shall be established forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment.” – Proverbs 12:19 (NKJV)

Have Him work on you! “He answered and said to them, ‘Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: “This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.” ’” – Mark 7:6

There are some things we’re better off without. “And He said to them, ‘Go.’ So when they had come out, they went into the herd of swine. And suddenly the whole herd of swine ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and perished in the water.” – Matthew 8:32

It doesn’t teach God… “Your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.” – Matthew 6:8

We can learn from that. “It was not you who sent me here, but God.” – Genesis 45:8 (NKJV)
